Calculator privacy: values entered in All Metal Prices calculators are processed locally in your browser. The site does not submit those values to our server or a market-data API.
1. Scope
This policy describes information handling on AllMetalPrices.com. It does not govern a third-party website, email provider, hosting provider or software that you access separately.
All Metal Prices is an independent educational publishing project. It does not offer accounts, paid products or transactions, and it does not claim personal credentials or regulatory status. Additional publisher, jurisdiction or privacy information will be added before any service that requires it is offered.
2. Information that may be processed
Information you send
If you email us, the message may include your email address, name, message contents, attachments and technical delivery information. Send only what is needed for your inquiry. Do not send account credentials, government identifiers, payment-card data or confidential financial information.
Ordinary server logs
Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may process limited request information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device information, referring page, response status and security events. Exact logging and retention depend partly on the hosting provider.
Calculator inputs
Interactive calculations run in browser JavaScript. Inputs are not submitted to All Metal Prices, saved to a site database or attached to an email unless you independently choose to copy and send them.
3. How information may be used
- to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website;
- to respond to correspondence and correction reports;
- to prevent abuse, spam or attacks;
- to understand and document a reported error;
- to meet applicable legal obligations.
4. Cookies and analytics
The current static edition does not intentionally set first-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies and has no account login. Its published HTML does not contain a third-party analytics script. The site's Content Security Policy is configured not to authorize the Cloudflare Web Analytics script.
Cloudflare serves and secures this site. Its hosting infrastructure may process limited request, browser or device information needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site. Depending on a hosting-platform setting, Cloudflare may inject Cloudflare Web Analytics measurement code before a page is delivered. If that occurs, the site's Content Security Policy is intended to prevent the script from running in compatible browsers. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy for the provider's current information.
If analytics, advertising, embedded media or optional cookies are added, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before those features are enabled. A host-side analytics setting should also be disabled at its source rather than relying only on this browser-side safeguard.
5. Service providers and disclosure
Information may be processed by service providers necessary to host, secure or communicate about the site, such as the hosting and email providers. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a legitimate transfer of the site subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not state that personal information is sold for money. If the site's practices change materially, this policy should be updated.
6. External links and downloads
Pages may link to exchanges, archives, libraries, standards bodies, museums or other third parties. Following an external link allows that party to receive ordinary request information under its own policy. Downloaded PDF or DOCX files are static documents; software used to open them may have separate privacy behavior.
7. Retention and security
Correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably useful for the inquiry, editorial record, security or legal requirements. Technical logs are retained according to operational need and provider settings. No internet system can be guaranteed completely secure, so avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
8. Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal information. Rights and exceptions vary. Use the contact page, identify the interaction concerned and state that your request relates to privacy. We may need reasonable verification before acting on a request.
You can disable JavaScript. Core navigation and reading remain available, but calculators will not calculate or copy results and optional interface enhancements may not work. Because calculator values stay in the browser, clearing them generally requires only refreshing or closing the page.
9. Children
The site provides general educational information and is not designed to solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.
10. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. The policy applicable to a visit is the version displayed at that time.
11. Contact
For privacy questions, use the contact page and identify the request as a privacy matter.
